Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of cognitive outcome in the physiology of physical effort and physical fitness among professional football coaches in Jordan and their role in recovering players after competition and training, and the differences in cognitive outcome between coaches, according to some variables. The study sample consisted of (47) coaches and (135) players. The researchers used the cognitive test and the recovery questionnaire axis as a tool to collect study data. The study concluded that the cognitive outcome of The level of football coaches in the physiology of physical effort was very weak, and in the field of physical fitness it was weak, and in the role of coaches in recovering players it was average. The researchers recommended the need to focus in training courses for football coaches on the fields of physiology of physical effort, physical fitness, modern sports training and sports recovery and to give them a greater part of importance during those courses and seminars, as well as the need to educate football coaches on the importance of being informed of everything new in the field of sciences related to modern sports training, the most important of which are the physiological aspects, physical fitness and sports recovery, and to be included in the preparation plans.
