One of the most used activities that is popular among most athletes is the 100-meter event, which is what the researcher was aiming to use a proposed educational program to develop and improve student learning in the 100-meter event for students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - University of Babylon. Therefore, the current research aims to: -

1- Propose an integrated educational program that includes all the physical, mental and preventive abilities of students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - University of Babylon.

2-Identifying the preference of the proposed program over the program followed in teaching students the skills of 100 meters in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - University of Babylon.

The research sample consisted of (36) students who were deliberately selected from the research community using the design of the single experimental group. The experimental group was divided into two parts, one of which used the exercises followed and the second used the proposed educational program to learn the effectiveness of the 100 meters to suit the students. The researcher concluded.

1-The proposed educational program and its exercises had a significant impact on developing the skills of the effectiveness of the 100 meters among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon.

2- The exercises of the proposed educational program were more effective in improving, developing and learning the effectiveness of the 100 meters among students than the exercises followed by the instructors in the college.
Dr. Ibrahim Obaid Abboud Copyright (c) 2024 https://ej.ejsst.com/index.php/ej/article/view/521 Fri, 15 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The effect of using rubber resistance ropes on the level of cardiac output and achievement of 200 m freestyle https://ej.ejsst.com/index.php/ej/article/view/522
The research aimed to know the effect of using rubber resistance and assistance ropes as a tool to increase water resistance in the flow of the body forward and the extent of its effect on the level of cardiac output and achievement in the 200 m freestyle swimming event. In order to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher selected (10) swimmers aged (14-16) years in a random manner, and they were divided into two groups, the first experimental (5) swimmers as an experimental group, and the second (5) swimmers as a control group. Both groups implemented the sections of the training curriculum prepared by their trainer in all its details, except that the experimental group used rubber ropes as a resistance and assistance tool (pulling) inside the water within the capacity training and overloading within the vocabulary of the daily training unit, and the control group used the traditional training curriculum according to the method prepared by the trainer. The researcher conducted the test before and after the research period, which lasted for 12 weeks, at a rate of three training units per week, and the results achieved were statistically analyzed for both groups, where the researcher found that the 200m swimming time had developed in both groups, except that the group that used rubber ropes inside the pool in capacity development training was the best, in addition to the improvement in cardiac output, which is an indicator of rapid recovery.
Dr. Ihsan Muhammad Ali Copyright (c) 2024 https://ej.ejsst.com/index.php/ej/article/view/522 Fri, 15 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 A comparative study of some physical characteristics between different playing positions in handball https://ej.ejsst.com/index.php/ej/article/view/523
It is known that integration in defense and attack and the ability to achieve a high level of performance and the ability to play well and master the arts of playing methods are an important requirement in handball. The success of any team and its progress depend on their availability, but the question remains on the availability of which of the physical qualities more than others. This success depends, so the choice fell on two important physical qualities in the game, which are the strength distinguished by speed and motor speed. The importance of the research comes in discovering which of the different playing positions in handball possesses one of them that shows the two qualities more than others. Therefore, the problem of the research lies in determining which of the different playing positions in handball needs two qualities, strength distinguished by speed and motor speed more than others. The goals were to identify the level of strength distinguished by speed among the players of the Al Ain University handball team, and to identify the level of motor speed among the Al Ain University handball team, and to identify The differences between the different playing positions in handball in the characteristic of strength characterized by speed and on the differences between the different playing positions in the characteristic of motor speed among handball players at Al Ain University, the researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey method to suit the nature of the problem. This approach aims to collect data and try to choose hypotheses and answer the questions. The research sample was chosen intentionally and represented the players of the handball team for the players , numbering (15) players out of (20) players who participated in the qualifiers. Thus, the sample constituted a percentage of (75%) of the original total. One of the most important conclusions is that the handball players at Al Ain University have good motor speed ranging between (3.48 - 3.59 / sec).
Bahaa Athiyab Faisal Copyright (c) 2024 https://ej.ejsst.com/index.php/ej/article/view/523 Fri, 15 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Mindfulness and its relationship to the performance of the forehand and backhand stroke skill for tennis players under 19 years old https://ej.ejsst.com/index.php/ej/article/view/524
Through the researcher's experience of the weakness of the tennis training center in Babylon in knowing the variables under study (the skill of the forehand and backhand stroke in tennis from stability and mental alertness), among tennis players under 19 years old, as they are players who practice performance to reach the level, so the researcher decided to address this problem and study it by using the measures specific to each of these variables on what we carry as a research sample. The aim of the research is to identify mental alertness and its relationship to the performance of the forehand and backhand stroke among the players of the tennis training center in Babylon.
