Abstract

This research aims to identify the effect of aquatic plyometric training on some specific physical abilities, skills, and numerical performance of 5,000m runners with intellectual disabilities.

The researchers used an experimental approach with pre- and post-test measurements.

Six runners were intentionally selected from among 5,000 long-distance runners with intellectual disabilities (who were capable of education and training).

The most important results revealed some specific physical abilities and skills of 5,000m runners, as well as the effect of aquatic plyometric training on the numerical performance of the research sample.
