Abstract

This research aims to analyze the uses of artificial intelligence and sports psychology in supporting the psychological and mental performance of athletes within high-level competitive environments, particularly during Olympic participation. The study aimed to identify the sports fields in which artificial intelligence applications are used in high-performance competitive environments, to identify the most prominent sports psychology applications used in these environments, and to identify the activities, countries, or sports delegations that most frequently employ artificial intelligence and psychological support applications in Olympic contexts. The study relied on an analytical review approach by analyzing 13 studies (10 foreign and 3 Arab) that addressed the relationship between artificial intelligence and sports psychology in Olympic and high-performance environments. The data were classified, and the most prominent applications and research gaps were extracted, leading to conclusions that support the future vision of this integration. Among the most notable findings were the frequent reference to psychological practices through individual counseling and mental support, highlighting the need for further scientific explanation of the impact of smart tools on subtle psychological variables, especially during crucial competitive moments. Furthermore, the limited Arab representation in this field compared to Western countries was highlighted. The results also showed that the practical uses of many studies were limited to football alone.
