The role of the media in spreading sports culture among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawiya

The role of the media in spreading sports culture among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawia. The research aims to identify the role of the media in spreading sports culture among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawia. The researchers used the descriptive survey method due to its suitability to the nature of this research. The research sample was selected from fourth-year students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawia, numbering (58) students for the academic year (2024-2025), including (28) students for basic studies and (12) students who were subjected to a exploratory study. (10) students were excluded for not completing the form correctly, and (8) non-compliance forms were missing. The sample was handed over to them and communicated with them. The most important results showed that the Internet had a positive impact on spreading sports culture among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawiya. Through the previous tables and statistical analyses, the researchers concluded that the most influential media outlet on students was the Internet. There was also a moderate impact through audio-visual broadcasting in spreading sports culture among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawiya. Finally, there was a very weak impact through sports newspapers in spreading sports culture among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Zawiya.
