The University of Zawiya is one of the Libyan universities that consistently strives to enhance the competencies of its faculty members through workshops and training programs. Despite the efforts it makes to provide these programs, there are indications of a gap between the training provided and its actual impact on faculty performance in academic and research areas. This research aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of skills development and enhancement programs for faculty members at the University of Zawiya from the perspective of faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The descriptive approach was used with a survey method, given its suitability for this research. The research sample was intentionally selected from faculty members at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, consisting of (30) faculty members, provided they had attended courses prepared within the university's faculty development and capacity-enhancing programs. The researchers concluded that the level of effectiveness, based on the sample members' responses and the arithmetic mean, was high in the two axes (effectiveness of training programs in terms of faculty member needs) and (effectiveness of training programs in terms of developing administrative and leadership skills). The level of effectiveness, based on the sample members' responses, was average for the effectiveness of training programs in terms of organization and content, academic performance development, and scientific research skills development.
