Abstract

It has become important to understand physical and anthropometric specifications based on the basic foundations required to enable athletes to reach their highest possible level. On the one hand, the body's structural composition plays a significant and fundamental role in athletic performance. Thus, the importance of anthropometric measurements is evident in the fact that they are often used as a basis for success or failure in a particular activity. The importance of understanding and studying physical measurements and anthropometry among athletes stems from the fact that each sporting activity has its own specific physical requirements that distinguish it from other activities (Hassanin Sobhi, 2005). These requirements are reflected in the attributes required of those practicing this activity. In track and field, there are changes in the athletic body composition of distance runners.
