Abstract

The study focuses on the relationship between mental abilities and the level of performance of goal-scoring skills in soccer. It is evident that psychological factors such as concentration, decision-making speed, and spatial awareness are key drivers for improving the accuracy and speed of goal-scoring in intense competitive conditions. The results showed that players with these distinct mental abilities achieve higher success rates in converting opportunities into goals, confirming that the mental aspect is no less important than the physical aspect in athletic performance. Accordingly, the study recommended the integration of mental training into sports training programs, the provision of specialized workshops to enhance these skills, and the adoption of advanced assessment methods to measure players' mental abilities.
