Emotions are subjective internal states characterized by their association with organic changes or physiological manifestations that vary from one emotion to another. These include changes related to the functioning of the heart, circulatory system, respiratory and digestive organs, endocrine glands, and muscles. Different emotional experiences are not only related to internal organic changes, but also typically include many external manifestations that emerge.
The researcher noted that although there are numerous studies that have addressed the relationship between emotional response and certain sports activities in general, understanding the effect of sports injury on emotional response and recovery has not received sufficient attention and research. Therefore, this research examines the impact of sports injury on emotional response and recovery. The researcher concluded:
- 1. The rate of injuries continues to rise due to the intensity of competition or excessive enthusiasm in trying to reach the highest athletic levels.
2- Physical injuries vary in type and severity, as well as the areas most susceptible to them throughout the season.
3- A player may re-injure various parts of his body, or an old injury may recur, depending on the nature of the sporting activity.
