Abstract

Low back pain is one of the most common health problems among people. Recently, the use of manual therapy has become widespread as a branch of sports medicine and rehabilitation over the past two decades. Manual therapy can be used as an additional method to many treatment methods. Manual therapy has been integrated with physical therapy sessions in many treatment centers. Among the treatment methods is osteopathy, which is the method that researchers decided to use on volleyball players suffering from low back pain. The researchers conducted a therapeutic experiment on a sample of (12) volleyball players suffering from low back pain, with an average age of 18-21 years. After taking pre- and post-measurements, the most important results were the presence of statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-measurements of the research sample in favor of the post-measurement in forward trunk flexion from standing, as the percentage of improvement for this test reached (86.43%). The pain score also improved, reaching 90.52%.
