Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine whether anthropometric measurements play a positive role in improving and developing long passing accuracy among soccer players. This is in order to achieve consistent movement performance, which is one of the fundamentals of soccer. It requires possession of the ball and the ability to connect players to reach the opponent's goal over a 90-minute period, which often extends beyond that. This also requires the rapid exchange of positions and changes in direction, which has prompted coaches to focus on physical, skill, and tactical aspects, as well as technical work, to achieve the highest levels of Olympic player preparation. Hence, this research aims to identify the level of anthropometric measurements among football players, which is an important consideration in the selection process for players of all categories during competitions, with the goal of excelling and reaching the highest levels. We have also observed that many international competitions rely on these measurements. Through the tests we will conduct in this research, we have discovered that anthropometric measurements play a very important role in football. This research also aims to identify the level of long-passing accuracy among the players of the Al-Suwaihli Football Club in Misrata. This test was conducted on all members of the sample under appropriate conditions, and passing accuracy levels were explained. The squares were drawn according to the prepared test, with positive results for some anthropometric variables. The results also revealed that some variables have a direct relationship to long-passing accuracy, as demonstrated by the results of a similar study. The results remain within the limits of the research sample, and we hope that this current research will serve as a step towards conducting future studies aimed at identifying other important aspects of developing athletic performance in this vital and important field, as well as developing Olympic players for the Olympic team.
