Abstract

The research was to achieve the following objectives:

1- Knowing the motor satisfaction, goal achievement and academic achievement in the fencing lesson for third-year female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon.

2- Knowing the relationship between each of motor satisfaction and goal achievement and academic achievement in the fencing lesson for third-year female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon.

To achieve these goals, the researchers used the descriptive approach using survey studies and correlational relationships. (20) female students from the third stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon were selected using a simple random method to distribute the questionnaires for the scales (motor satisfaction) and (goal achievement) to them after verifying the psychometric properties of the two scales mentioned to find the arithmetic means for each variable as well as the standard deviations. After that, they sought to know the academic achievement of these students through the subject teacher and to know the arithmetic mean and standard deviation of achievement. Arriving at the most important procedure in the current research, which is to know the relationship that may link both motor satisfaction and goal achievement to the academic achievement of the students, to show the following conclusions:

1-The third stage students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences were distinguished by high degrees in motor satisfaction and goal achievement.

2- The third stage students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences were distinguished by relatively good success rates in academic achievement in the fencing subject.

3-The higher the degrees of motor satisfaction and self-realization, the higher the degrees of academic achievement in the fencing subject for third-year female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.

At the end of the research, the researchers followed these conclusions with important recommendations to solve the research problem.
