Abstract

Football is considered one of the sports that require special specifications for performance, as the player runs various distances, which requires the availability of specifications and high levels of physical efficiency that are related to improving the basic and physical skills and mental processes of the player, as the problem of the research was the poor physical fitness of young players, which is negatively reflected in the speed of skill performance as well as the general level of the players, which prompted the researcher to prepare periodic skill exercises to solve this problem. The aim of the research was to identify the effect of skill exercises according to periodic training in developing the lactic threshold and the speed of skill performance for young football players, and the hypothesis of the research was that there is an effect of skill exercises According to the interval training in developing the lactic threshold and the speed of skill performance for young football players, using the experimental method with two equal groups, the researcher identified the research community as the youth football clubs of Karbala Governorate and chose the research sample randomly, which is Al-Ghadiriya Club, youth category. He also used statistical means for the homogeneity and equivalence processes to start with one starting line. The researcher concluded that skill exercises according to interval training have a positive effect in developing the lactic threshold and the speed of skill performance for young football players.
