Abstract

Poor adaptation indicates that there are unsatisfied needs among individuals within the social environment, which negatively affects them during the period of rapprochement or formation and beyond.

Based on the above, the adaptation and integration of individuals into the environment with all its various fields, relationships with others, such as colleagues, friends, similar situations, and the privacy of social life, the research problem is through the researcher's observation of the scarcity of scientific research that addressed this social aspect related to sports activities in general and track and field players in particular, although this category is one of the categories that most need a realistic study of it, and the objectives of the research were to build a scale for social adaptation of track and field players in Dhi Qar Governorate clubs and to identify the level of social adaptation of track and field players in Dhi Qar Governorate clubs. The sample included track and field players in Dhi Qar Governorate clubs, numbering (140) players. The research methodology used by the researcher is the descriptive approach using the survey method due to its suitability and the nature of the current study. The researcher concluded: The validity of the social adaptation scale prepared by the researcher to measure social adaptation among track and field players in Dhi Qar Governorate clubs, and the sample enjoys different levels of social adaptation.
