Abstract

The importance of the research lies in learning to perform some offensive skills in basketball while using the most effective teaching strategy that works to increase positive interaction with the educational environment according to the steps of the M.U.R.D.E.R strategy and thus obtain good educational results for the lesson vocabulary. As for the research problem, opinions differed. Some see the necessity of the presence of the person in charge of the educational process in the educational situation and ensure that the learner’s behavior is modified and his performance is corrected, while others see the necessity of employing modern technologies. Here the researcher decided to study this problem by choosing the M.U.R.D.E.R strategy, which is based on diversity to suit the students’ abilities and level, which In turn, it works on thinking and deduction in order to discover the facts.

 The research aimed to identify the effect of the M.U.R.D.E.R strategy in developing some offensive basketball skills for students. As for the research methodology and field procedures, the researcher used the experimental method with the design of two equal experimental and control groups with pre- and post-tests to apply the vocabulary of the M.U.R.D.E.R strategy. It was on the students of Al-Quds Middle School for Boys, Najaf Governorate/Manathira District - third intermediate grade, numbering (240) students. The researcher reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that the exercises prepared by the researcher according to the M.U.R.D.E.R strategy contributed significantly to developing the offensive skills of the members of the experimental research group.
