Recreational practices and their relationship to achievement motivation among junior football players in Babylon Governorate clubs

Abstract

The study attempts to examine the association between practicing recreational activities and achievement motivation in young football players. To accommodate the nature of the investigation, the researcher employed a descriptive technique. The current study's sample consisted of (68) participants, split into (53) players, who represented 77.94% of the basic sample, and (15) players. The exploratory sample represents 22% of the same population and is outside the main sample. The basic study was conducted in the stadiums of Al-Qassim Sports Club in the 2022-2023 sports season league competitions.

The results revealed that there was a positive correlation between recreational practices and the variables of sports achievement motivation for young football players in the clubs of Babylon Governorate.
