Self-esteem and its relationship to future anxiety among fourth-year female students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

The aim of the research is to study and identify the relationship between the level of self-esteem and future anxiety for the female students of the fourth stage of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The researcher has assumed that there are statistically significant differences among the female students of the fourth stage of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The researcher has defined her research population as female students of the stage. The fourth for the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences/College of Education for Girls/University of Kufa for the academic year 2023-2024, numbering (45) students. The researcher followed the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the research. The researcher used the self-esteem scale and the future anxiety scale. The scientific foundations for the research tests were extracted. Using the statistical package and translating the research results, the researcher concluded that the female students in the fourth stage have a high percentage of self-esteem in themselves and that there is an inverse negative relationship between self-esteem and future anxiety among the female students. The researcher recommends conducting research that encourages the development of psychological abilities skills for life and management.
