Abstract

The research aims to develop the skills of ball rolling (front - back) in gymnastics for second-year female students.

The researcher used the experimental population to suit the nature of the research. The research population included second-year female students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon. The research sample was distributed as follows:

The experimental research group: It included (8) female students. The control research group: It included (8) female students. The exploratory group: It included (4) female students, and the researcher used the sensory modeling method to develop the forward and backward rolling skills. The researcher conducted the tests at exactly ten thirty in the gymnasium hall in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The researcher chose two evaluators to evaluate the performance of the two research groups (the control/ Experimental) by giving a score out of (10) to each student while performing the front and back roll using the performance evaluation form. The conclusions were that after presenting, analyzing and discussing the results, the researcher concluded the following:

1_Using sensory modeling as a means of developing skills (under study), and this is what the research results showed.

2_The sensory modeling was appropriate for the ages of the sample (under study), and this is what the results showed by achieving high development rates.
