The Impact of a Rehabilitation Program for People with Cerebral Palsy in Karak Governorate

This study aims at determining the impact of Rehabilitation Program for People with Cerebral Palsy in Karak Governorate. The sample consisted of 50 children from Karak governorate. The researcher used descriptive analytical approach and distributed a questionnaire for collecting data from the subjects of the study. After the statistical analysis was conducted by using both frequency and percentage. The findings revealed the efficiency of Rehabilitation Program in terms of encouraging the patients and their physical performance independence, the lack of effectiveness required in raising their productive efficiency, and enhancing their attitudes towards practicing sports and physical activities. Designing a proposed treatment program to improve the health of patients with cerebral palsy. It should be mentioned that the program included: rehabilitation of the patient to carry out his/her daily work, movements, and activities, and return the patient to his/her previous condition, and reduce the damage caused by cerebral palsy as much as possible. The prevention of diseases that may result from inactivity or frequent use of healthy parts. Unfortunately, there is no cure for cerebral palsy, or specific ways to prevent it, but there are many treatments that aim to reduce the symptoms and effects of cerebral palsy. The best results occur when treatment starts at an early age since the brain until the age of 8 years has the ability to change in its development, rearrange, and send nerve signals to compensate for the affected area. Based on these changes in brain tissue, most experts recommend that the child's condition be estimated between 9-12 months of the child's age.
