The Effects of Proposed Training Program on Strength of Central Muscles That Stabilize of Body and Improving Performance of Young Football Players

Abstract

Modern methods of training have indicated to take advantage of the mistakes made by the traditional methods. Examples of these mistakes are main of goal training during the general preparation period is to improve the level of endurance respiratory league to raise the level of physical fitness. The aims of this study was identify the  effects of a proposed training program on strength of central muscles that stabilize of body and improving sports performance of young football players. The study sample consisted of (35) from young football teams of Al-Nasiriya Sports Club (age 18.7 ± (0.5) yrs.; height 181.3± (2.4) cm, weight 71.4± (5.2) kg). The researcher used the experimental method by following the tribal and dimensional measurements for two groups, experimental (EXP=18) and control (CON=17) players. The players performance physical tests including: (Squat Jump Test; Standing Long Jump Test; Illinois Agility Test; Sprint 20m Test). The program was applied for (8) weeks (5) times per week for a period of (40) minutes each time, tests were conducted and data were collected before starting the program and repeated after start the program. The repeated measures ANOVA (one-way) using to compere between groups. The statistical significance was set at (p≤ 0.05). The most important results of the research indicated that the training program affected all study variables at the significance level (P < 0.05). The result has shown that the training program improving sports performance of football players at all, such as maximal speed, long and vertical jump, in addition agility.
