The role of the process of discovering and selecting young people in achieving a high level through sports clubs A field study of group games (hockey, football)

Abstract

 High results and athletic performance are considered an achievement that can only be achieved by individuals who are distinguished in all aspects and possess the factors of superiority that serve as special specifications for athletes, where the inevitable need to search in these aspects appeared, as each type of sports has what distinguishes it from others in relation to the availability of these qualities and physical and skill capabilities Those interested in this field tended towards defining these specifications and capabilities for each sporting activity separately, and it became important to know the physical and physical specifications. Thus, the importance of "anthropometric" measurements appears in that they are often used as a basis for success or failure in a specific activity. Discovery and selection in the field of sports training has become necessary and imposed, especially in this age group for young people (from 09-12 years), as it is the appropriate stage for introducing young people, especially The talented among them, which is the subject of our study, which consisted in distributing a questionnaire to (20 coaches) in hockey and football. He concluded that this age is suitable for selecting young people and giving them the opportunity at an early age to highlight their desires and abilities, and then reach the highest levels in achieving preparations and inclinations, away from the dialectic of whether the country is born or made.
