Abstract

         The self-learning method is one of the important methods that allow the use of motor learning skills in a highly effective way, which contributes to the development of the learner behaviorally, cognitively and emotionally and provides him with an important weapon that enables him to absorb the information of the skill to be learned, as it seeks to support students to develop their levels and make them far from lethargy and boredom And to find the best link between the theoretical materials and their practical application, and the handball game is one of the important types of sports games in our sports culture system, and it is one of the collective and popular games, and due to what this game provides of a sound educational climate for practitioners, it is an integrated educational approach that gives students many educational requirements The good nature of this game in terms of its speed of performance and the diversity of its skills requires the individuals who practice it to have good skillful performance that enables them to use the skills as required and according to the multiple playing situations. The first is the middle one, where the researcher believes that the reason for the low level of skillful performance in this game is due to the fact that it does not take Adequate attention and care during the application of the approach followed, which is negatively reflected in the acquisition of basic skills. Research objectives: To identify the effect of using self-learning using applied exercises with and without aids in developing the skills of tapping and handling in handball for first-intermediate students. The researcher concluded that self-learning had a positive effect on raising and developing the level of first-intermediate students more than the teaching mechanism used in acquiring basic handball skills.
