Attitudes of departments' employees in Babil towards implementing the project of Sports for everyone
Abstract
The research aims to identify the attitude of employees of the Iraqi ministries towards the implementation of the Sports for All program project in the departments and institutions of the state and to know the obstacles that limit this participation, whether for males or females. The researchers used the descriptive method to collect data for their study using the survey method. The data collection tool was applied to a sample consisting of (4062) affiliates (male and female) from various state departments and institutions. Without the consent, and the answer was concentrated in the affirmative of some ministries, unlike other ministries, according to their specificity, field of work, and the possibility of applying the program in them. The researcher concluded that there is a weakness in awareness towards sports in general and sports for all in particular. Having a very great desire to exercise for everyone. There is no significant difference in terms of gender in agreeing to participate in sports programs for all, and women sometimes outperform men in some ministries. Lack or absence of specialists in the implementation of sports programs for all in the ministries and institutions of the state. The possibility of performing sports programs for all varies from one ministry to another due to the lack of space and the orientation of the ministry. The researcher recommended the enactment of a law to allocate (30) minutes at the beginning of the official working hours in the state departments and institutions to perform physical exercises. They also recommended the necessity of spreading sports awareness, especially towards the application of sports programs.
