The approach toward the profession of teaching volleyball and its relationship to the professional competency of students implemented in schools in Babylon Governorate

Teaching is a means and an educational goal in addition to an educational one. Its goal is more than just receiving information and knowledge because it can be acquired. One of the goals of teaching is to reach the learner to develop his capabilities, skills, experiences, perceptions, maturity of his thinking and lofty emotions, and the creation of a future generation that depends on him.
Training or field application is one of the most important criteria for evaluating teachers in the teaching and educational process at the level of professional and personal behavior. Therefore, one of the most important positive things for this profession is that applied teachers are positive and effective when they deal with others. Here, the importance of research was evident in the study of this phenomenon in order to identify the competencies of students towards this profession for those applied in the schools of Babil Governorate, in order to make appropriate recommendations for the success of the educational process.
The research aims to identify the relationship between the attitude towards the teaching profession and the professional competencies of applied students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in the schools of Babylon Governorate. The research sample consisted of (185) male and female students. The researcher used the measure of attitude towards the teaching profession and the measure of the professional competence of the applied students. The researcher concluded that the research sample of the applied students had a good level of attitude towards the teaching profession. The professional competence of applied students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Babylon.
