The effect of using the training and commanding methods on some floor movement skills in artistic gymnastics for students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - University of Karbala

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of using the training and command methods on some floor movement skills in artistic gymnastics (front rolling, rear rolling, handstand, human wheel, Arabic jump) among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, and to achieve this the study was conducted On a sample of (30) students who were distributed into two equal and equal groups, a proposed educational program was applied to them for a period of (12) weeks, with two units per week. The imperative method was used on the first group, and the training method on the second group.

The results of the research showed that there are statistically significant differences in the effect of using the imperative method on learning some floor movement skills in artistic gymnastics for students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Science between the tribal and remote measurements and in favor of the post measurement, where the percentage change reached (73.22%) in the skill of the wheel and (69.51%) in the skill of the Arabic jump.

The results of the research also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the effect of using the training method on learning some floor movement skills in artistic gymnastics for students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Science between the tribal and remote measurements and in favor of the post measurement, where the percentage change reached (135.1%) in the skill of Round off or Arabic Spring and (117.5%) in wheel skill.

 The researchers recommended several recommendations, the most important of which is the use of different teaching methods in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences, which contribute to improving the educational process and benefiting from the proposed educational program using the command and training methods of teaching skills.
