The research was conducted on a sample of the national team players in athletics for the effectiveness of 400m hurdles for the period from 1/8/2021AD to 30/9/2021AD in the field and field stadiums in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Baghdad / Al-Jadiriyah.
The researcher used the following tests: A weighted jump run test measuring strength and speed and ran 150m speed Endurance Measurement and to endurance speed, as well as ran 400m hurdles to measure achievement. The main experiment was for a period of 2 months, with 3 training units per week with rest on Friday and Saturday. The training unit contains 4 exercises for the water medium. The researcher used the high interval training method. severity.
After recording the results of the tests and treating them by appropriate statistical means, all significant differences appeared between the two tests, the pre and post tests, and the researcher concluded that the exercises of the water medium work to prolong the endurance as well as remove boredom from the runners as a result of the traditional exercises. The researcher recommended the need to use these exercises during the training units because of their significant effect capacity development under consideration.
