Evaluation of skill ability for some basic skills in badminton

Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the skill ability in the game of badminton for students of the College of Physical Education, Al-Mustansiriya University, the third stage, and to set standard levels for some basic skills in the game, where the researchers used the descriptive approach.  The sample is (160) students only, and they represent (84%) of the research community.  Three standardized and objective tests of skill (serving, forehand and backhand) were used, and after conducting the tests and processing the data statistically, the following conclusions were reached.  (The success rates for the skill abilities of the research sample were for the front kick first, then the serve hit, then the backhand).  Separately). And through the conclusions, the researchers recommend (relying on objective tests and evaluation continuously in detecting and estimating the skill level of the research sample for its importance in recognizing the level of students and to increase the effectiveness of learning for development).(Conducting research evaluating students’ performance in the mentioned game and the rest of the games, due to the importance of evaluation on all other skill abilities).
