The relationship of the type of grip and grip strength to the accuracy of transmission among tennis players

The aim of the study is to identify the type of grip and grip strength and its relationship to the accuracy of the serve for tennis players. The importance of this study appears through the description the type of grip for the racket and the extent of the player’s grip strength in the accuracy of the serve and urging the coaches to focus on teaching and training players on the types of grips and not focusing on one grip as well as emphasizing exercises to increase the strength of the grip .The researcher found through his presence in many championships in various parts of Iraq, especially in Baghdad, as well as other championships that are held in the tennis academies,found that many players did not care about the strength of the fist in the performance of the serve, and this reason may be due to the coaches not interesting in this case, which drew the attention of the researcher. The sample of the study included the 11 players of the AL-Ajial Academy. The research sample was chosen by the intentional method, and the researcher assumed the existence of a significant correlation relationship. The researcher used the descriptive approach for its suitability and the nature of the research and after extracting the results and displaying them using appropriate statistical methods for the research according to the descriptive approach followed in this research, the researcher concluded that there is a significant correlation between the type of grip, grip strength and serve accuracy. During the performance of the training units, conducting other studies dealing with the of the type of grip and grip strength with other skills in tennis relationship.
