The study aimed to prepare educational units according to the Lursbach model for some basic skills in football, as well as to identify the effect of these units on the variables under study. The researchers followed the experimental approach by designing two equal groups with a pre- and post-test, and the research sample was selected, represented by students of the first stage of the morning study in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / al Kut University College for the academic year 2021-2022. The variables of the study were determined, which included a test of visual thinking, handling skill, quenching skill, rolling skill), and the educational units were applied over a period of 10 weeks, with one educational unit each week. After completing the application of the educational units and conducting the post-test and statistical treatments, the researcher came up with several conclusions, the most important of which is that both methods (Lorsbach model and the adopted method) had a positive impact on the process of visual thinking and learning some basic skills in football. The process of building knowledge, the more well it is and depends on the use of mental abilities, mental abilities and the senses in the learning process, the more knowledge becomes good. In addition, the stage of discussion and dialogue between students and within cooperative groups, which is included in the model, played a positive role in making learners the ability to be liberated and not bound. By studying and employing their mental abilities and by relying on the stored information and the information contained in the educational unit, in addition to that, the learner was keen to collect, organize and invest the information optimally in the lesson.
