Abstract

Tennis is one of the sports that has witnessed remarkable development using the correct scientific application, especially in the process of learning basic skills, and among these skills are (the forehand and the backhand), and it is considered one of the most important and most used skills in playing, despite the great similarity in the motor path. For performance, there is a big difference in the location of the ball, the strength of the two strokes, and the goal of performing these two strokes. Hence the importance of the research in knowing the effect of using tactical approach exercises in learning the two strokes in tennis. The research aims to prepare tactical approach exercises in learning the forehand and backhand shots for players in specialized schools. The research sample represented the entire research community, namely the players of the Specialized Tennis School in Baghdad Governorate. They numbered 30 players and were divided into two groups, control and experimental. The researcher concluded the following:

1- Tactical approach exercises have a positive impact on learning the forehand and backhand tennis skills for players in specialized schools.

2-There is a real response from the players to the exercises because it created a means of attraction for them and thus increased the speed of learning.
