Evaluation of the cultural awareness about sports among students of the faculties of the University of Karbala according to gender and scientific specialization

Abstract

The introduction and the problem of the research were about the creation and dissemination of sports culture among the various sectors of society with the aim of creating a healthy citizen physically and mentally, and university students consider the basis of human energies in any revival society and the desired basis for shaping its life and organizing itself from time to time, and considering physical education as one of the most important means and institutions concerned in Developing the energies and capabilities of the members of society, as it aims to educate individuals in an integrated scientific manner, physically, mentally, psychologically, morally and socially. It is one of the means of human development that returns to all aspects of various activities.

The study aimed to:

1- Identifying the level of cultural awareness about sports among students of the faculties of Karbala University.

2- Detecting differences in the level of cultural awareness about sports according to gender and scientific specialization.

3- Setting criteria for cultural awareness about sports among students of the colleges of the University of Karbala according to gender and scientific specialization, and the researchers followed the descriptive approach in the manner of surveying and comparative and normative studies to achieve the goals of their studies. Conclusions, the most important of which is (setting standards for the level of cultural awareness about sports among students of the faculties of the University of Karbala). The researchers also concluded several recommendations, the most important of which are:
